Our product, HDC (Hymenolepis diminuta cysticercoid), is the microscopic larva of a type of helminth: that is, a higher organism (animal life) which normally lives in people. Up until about 75 years ago, prior to modern food handling practices, HDC was common in our food supply as it grows in grain beetles, like the common mealy bug. It is still common in less developed countries today, where grains and other foods which are not highly processed and frequently eaten raw.

HDC are nearly microscopic so you won’t be able to see them. They will come to you in a very small vial of clear solution. This solution, which is mostly a salt and amino acid solution, is safe for human consumption, and keeps the HDC fresh until they are used. No matter which dose you order, the vial of solution will look the same.
HDC are cysticoids, essentially larva. The helminths (worm) that they evolve into are called HD – Hymenolepis diminuta. HD do not normally colonize humans as our immune systems are very capable of killing them off within a couple of weeks.
Using the tiny pipette we will send you, suck the solution out of the vial. We recommend adding the HDC-containing solution to milk or a milk substitute (i.e soy, rice, hemp, etc. milks). If you don’t like or cannot drink any kind of milk, you have several options: make a little dent in something soft (that does not need to be chewed) like yogurt or apple sauce. You can also simply syringe the liquid directly into your mouth. (It will taste very salty.) However, if you take them directly or with apple sauce: REMEMBER THEY SHOULD ALSO BE TAKEN WITH SOMETHING CONTAINING FAT (like a piece of cheese, for example) WHICH WILL ALLOW THEM TO BE ACTIVATED IN YOUR SMALL INTESTINE.
